Wellington LEGO® User Group (Well-LUG) – Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Wellington LEGO® User Group (“Well-LUG”) is a community group for adult LEGO® fans based in the Wellington region, New Zealand. We run events, exhibitions, and activities for members and the public.
 

2. What information we collect

We may collect personal information from members of the public, including:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Any other contact details you choose to give us (for example, when registering for an event or subscribing to updates)


We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our activities.
 

3. How we collect information

We collect information when you:

  • Opting-in to receive communications from us

  • Buying tickets to a Brickshow or other exhibition

  • Entering a competition or prize draw that we have facilitated


4. Why we collect information

We collect and use personal information to:

  • Communicate with you about Well-LUG events and activities

  • Manage event registrations and attendance

  • Respond to enquiries

  • Promote Well-LUG and its community activities

  • We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to Well-LUG.​​

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe, including:

  • Storing information in secure digital systems

  • Limiting access to authorised Well-LUG organisers only

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

  • We are required to do so by law
     

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected, or as required by law. Information that is no longer needed is securely deleted.

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Ask for access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Ask for corrections if you believe the information is incorrect

  • You can also ask to be removed from our mailing lists at any time.
